Many teams have been asking about the process of qualifying for and attending our Tournament of Champions at Yale University. We're so thrilled to see so many interested in joining us there; we can't wait to catch up with you again in New Haven. Where Singapore was epic, Yale will be, as it always is, a very different sort of event: a cozy reunion with old and new friends, set on the campus of one of the world's leading universities. And it will once again feature real alpacas.
Unlike in past years, however, there will be an application process for attending the ToC. This application will be open to all teams that participated in World Scholar's Cup this past season. A number of teams (including but not limited to the top 120 teams in each division at the Global Round) are considered pre-qualified. This pre-qualification means that their application to attend the ToC will be automatically accepted. The first wave of pre-qualified teams is already posted in the closing ceremony PowerPoint from the Global Round, and will be rounded out in the days ahead.
Please also note: the dates of the ToC are tentatively November 21-23, 2014; we are awaiting final confirmation from our friends and hosts at Yale.
Thank you again for being part of the World Scholar's Cup community, from the sun of Singapore to the snows of New Haven, or wherever our next round together may lead. #letitpwaa
